The Stables Studio is built for the performer to many recordings lack individuality and music is becoming lifeless as every sound is being corrected and the vibe or energy is being lost. So we don't use auto tune we are more interested in performance rather than audio computerised correction.

We have gathered together some great classic equipment which gives a warm and smooth sound. Built around the excellent Trident 16 Desk (trident desks have been used by the Beatles, Abba and Queen to name just a few).

The live room is little more than a box with a high ceiling based on original early sound studios like Sun. This means you get a natural reverb that make drums sound enormous and rich. To many studios are over dampened to the point where sound waves hardly move at all. We do have low ceil dampened facilities should they be needed.

Designed to offer the very best quality at an affordable price. Using industry standard Pro tools Mix24 system, high quality mixing desks (Trident & Calrec) and highend quality microphones.

The studio is known for its great sounding live room which has a bright and live feel that gives all recodings a special quality. Established for over decade the Stables Studio has supported local talent onto the National and International stage.

Facilities

The studios is currently arranged with two live rooms both connected with 16 channels multicore. Studio one has a high ceiling with good line of sight from the control room. Studio two (the second live room) offers a much lower ceiling and heavy padding for a deader sound. There is a sitting room, fully equiped kitchen secure keypad entry gates and a covered court yard and smoking area. The studio has 20mb wifi throughout the building

Mixing and Data Storage

For the best results we have always found returning to a mix a day or so after completition of any recording session gets the best results. We are happy to spend as much time as possible to achieve the very best results. This would be at no extra cost to your recording budget and we work on the basis of for ever 8hours recording we will give 1 hour mixing time.

We will keep your session files for a maximum of one calendar month. If we have recieved no more contact from you there after your files can be deleted frpom our system.

We do archive all work where possible and normally will hang on to it for about a year. Should you require the session after four weeks has elapsed we will charge a further 5GBP to cover the cost of data recovery and we will post or e-mail your recordings to you.
